The solution to your cat problem is more cats! | Way of Cats blog

I recently had an exchange that had me dancing around the room and scooping up my cats for cuddles. Mr WayofCats knows that when I tell our cats, ?You are such good kitties, you help other cats all over the world!? it means one of my readers is reporting a win.

The blog post this person is referencing is How to Choose a Third Cat. In it I explain how we can solve cat conflicts by adding a cat.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive. But that?s only because people have not been taught about cats. That?s why my mission is to teach people about cats.

Once we understand cats, we see how adding a cat subtracts from our cat conflicts. That is because cats do not obey the laws of physics.

Slowly, slowly, slowly, the world is waking up to the fact that cats are more fun in bunches. Obviously, this direction is not for everyone. Restrictions, lack of resources, or our present cat?s personality can keep us a one cat household; and there?s nothing wrong with that.

But if we are in a position to indulge ourselves, if we are interested in expanding our cat enjoyment, if we realize we are suffering from A Cat Gap; I want Cat Appreciators to know there?s absolutely nothing wrong with More Cats.

The ?Cat Subject? is an area where the whole rest of the world is wrong. It?s not a new thing for the whole rest of the world to be wrong, is it? There was a time when the rest of the world thought that ships could fall off the edge of the earth, or that it wasn?t necessary for doctors to wash their hands. We are still in the throes of understanding how much of the world was wrong about people who are black, or people who are gay, or people who are in wheelchairs. It?s all prejudice and it?s all wrong.

So I?m happy to be ahead of the curve and I?m happy to take a bunch more people along with me. We set our mind free when we discard prejudice and make our own decisions, based on what makes us happy; based on the simple truth.

So if we find ourselves wishing we had more cats; go ahead.

Make our own wish come true.
